2.6.1.14
Description Asparagine--oxo-acid aminotransferase
Catalyzed reaction L-asparagine + a 2-oxo acid = 2-oxosuccinamate + an amino acid.
Cofactor Pyridoxal-phosphate.
Comments The enzyme from rat liver organelles seems to be identical to serine-pyruvate aminotransferase (2.6.1.51) and alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase (2.6.1.44).
Organisms -Eubacteria -Metazoa
