Description Thyroid-hormone aminotransferase.
Alternative names L-Triiodothyronine aminotransferase;
3,5-dinitrotyrosine aminotransferase.
Catalyzed reaction L-3,5,3'-triiodothyronine + 2-oxoglutarate = 3,5,3'- triiodophenylpyruvate + L-glutamate.
Cofactor Pyridoxal-phosphate.
Comments -!- Acts on monoiodotyrosine, diiodotyrosine, triiodothyronine, thyroxine and dinitrotyrosine (unlike EC 2.6.1.24, which does not act on dinitrotyrosine).
