Description Kynurenine--glyoxylate aminotransferase
Catalyzed reaction L-kynurenine + glyoxylate = 4-(2-aminophenyl)-2,4-dioxobutanoate + glycine.
Cofactor Pyridoxal-phosphate.
Comments -!- Acts, more slowly, on L-phenylalanine, L-histidine and L-tyrosine.
May be identical with aromatic amino acid-glyoxylate aminotransferase (EC 2.6.1.60).

The enzyme from human liver is identical to serine-pyruvate/alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase (EC 2.6.1.51).
