Comments This enzyme is involved in the biosynthesis of forosamine, a highly deoxygenated sugar found in several natural products, such as the insecticide spinosyns.
The enzyme from Saccharopolyspora spinosa also catalyzes the transamination of dTDP-4-keto-2,6-dideoxy-d-glucose.
