Comments PseC is involved in the synthesis of the sialic acid-like nonulosonate, pseudaminic acid (Pse) by Helicobacter pylori. Pse is employed by the bacterium to glycosilate its own flagellin, and such glycosylation is essential for the assembly of functional flagellar filaments.
