1.17.1.1
Activity 1.17.1.1
Description CDP-4-dehydro-6-deoxyglucose reductase.
Notes A small family of bacterial sequences, assembled based on the only validated enzyme (from Yersinia).

The sequences are related to those of other enzymes (such as colD, arnb, UDP-GlcNAc_aminotransferase, psec) involved in the metabolism of NTP-linked amino sugars.

This enzyme is related to GDP-4-keto-6-deoxy-D-mannose-3-dehydratase (Cold family) and shares with this the absence of an active site lysine - meaning that PLP is not covalently bound to the enzyme through an internal aldimine linkage.
