Notes The S. cerevisiae gene listed here encodes a transaminase with broad substrate specificity; even though it apparently prefers 2-aminoadipate as a substrate, it is annotated as aromatic aminoacid aminotransferase.
The human enzyme listed here is also able to transaminate kynurenine and hydroxykynurenine and is often annotated as kynurenine aminotransferase II.
