Description Glycine dehydrogenase (decarboxylating)
Notes In some organisms, the protein has two distinct subunits. See for example:
gi|14591729|ref|NP_143817.1| glycine dehydrogenase subunit 1 [Pyrococcus horikoshii]
gi|14591728|ref|NP_143816.1| glycine dehydrogenase subunit 2 [Pyrococcus horikoshii].

The two subunits are structurally similar and appear to have arisen by gene duplication and subsequent divergence. Only the second subunit, corresponding to the C-terminal half of the multi-domain proteins in known to bind the PLP.
