2.6.1.19 b
Activity 2.6.1.19
Description 4-aminobutyrate aminotransferase. (family b)
Notes The gene from Pseudomonas putida has been tentatively assigned to delta-aminovalerate aminotransferase (2.6.1.48); however, the same gene has been included in this family based on its strict similarity to functionally validated GABA transaminases and (ii) on the known ability of GABA transaminases to use 5-aminovalerate as a substrate.
