Description |
Nicotianamine aminotransferase |
Notes |
The family has been constructed upon two characterized sequences from Hordeum vulgare. The sequences of these enzymes strongly resemble tyrosine aminotransferases and other plant enzymes involved in secondary metabolism. Since this activity does not seem to occur in non-graminaceous plants, very similar sequences from other viridiplantae (e.g., Vitis vinifera) have not been included in this family. |
