Description |
Hercynylcysteine S-oxide lyase |
Notes |
A very diverse family, composed of bacterial and fungal enzymes, distantly related to family 5.1.1.17 (Isopenicillin N epimerase).
The fungal and bacterial sequences, albeit related, seem to belong to separate clades and may deserve to be included in distinct subfamilies. |
