| Description |
D-serine ammonia-lyase (family b) |
| Notes |
A family of fold-type III proteins, built based on the functionally validated sequences from yeast and chicken. These eukaryotic proteins are more closely related to those of family 4.1.2.42 (D-threonine aldolase, low specificity) than to those of bacterial D-amino acid ammonia-lyases. All three families, however, share the requirement of a divalent metal ion (in addition to PLP) for function. |
