5-amino-4-keto 6-phenylhexanoate synthase (2.5.1.-)

Notes

A small family of apparently specialized bacterial enzymes,distantly similar to families of enzymes catalyzing similar reactions, such as ktmb and 2.3.1.47 (7-keto-8-aminopelargonate synthetase).

The only validated sequence (from Streptomyces sp. IB2014/016-6) is not yet publicly available, so the family has been based on the homologous protein from S. odonnellii.
